These Godly men, who didn’t even know me or each other, came together from two opposite industries – the Entertainment and Medical professions – saw a need, transferred their skills, and shared their unique gifts and talents just to help someone in need – ME! The beautiful arm they created that looks just like me changed my life. I’m forever blessed by their generosity and kindness.

This book is gratefully dedicated to my Heavenly Father for His forever faithfulness in my life, especially in my particular time of medical distress. I thank Him for bringing me two especially gifted men who ministered to me physically and mentally and put me back together:

Garner Holt

The world leader in animatronics and innovative theme park entertainment. At age 12 he began inventing in his backyard, designing the many haunted houses, and later, the creative creatures that would within a few short years, become Garner Holt Productions in his hometown of San Bernardino, CA.

Wesley Golay

The adventuresome founder of Redlands Prosthetics and Orthotic Group, Inc. - A phenomenal “people-first” attitude medical service provider company. Wesley and staff go the extra mile to console and encourage patients as they prepare personalized custom medical assistance products to change and enhance lives for people with disabilities.

Redlands Prosthetics and Orthotic Group Mission Statement:

To provide our patients with excellent prosthetic and orthotic services in an atmosphere of professionalism and respect, while maintaining a safe and rewarding work environment for our associates.

I have always enjoyed working with my hands. Throughout high school and college, I was most engaged in interactive courses that enabled me to create with my hands. During high school, I was introduced to orthotics by one of my two uncles involved in this occupation. While working with him in Washington State, I discovered a career that afforded the freedom and creativity I desired. He helped me develop my passion for helping individuals with orthopedic disabilities.

The unique goal of our business is our passion for providing exceptional individuals with premium personal care. At larger businesses, customers are unable to receive the same standard of individual patient care that our business provides. We seek to build relationships with our patients and let them know that we care while providing each patient with high quality services and products. We want to improve the quality of life for each patient after they receive our services.

Awards/Recognitions:

We received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Department of Veterans Affairs in 1996 and in 2002 we received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Amputee Connection of Redlands. And I was also the chairman of the Handicapped Services Committee for the Rotary Club of Redlands in 1994
